Thanks Liam
I have great hopes that you can finally help me locate where the Clemens family lived. I just have the death certificate of my great grandfather Richard Clemens (wife is Johanna Flynn) stating that he was born in Kings County Ireland around 1820 and passed away in Brooklyn, Kings County, NY in 1897. I wonder if the two Clemens brothers you have found are related. I look forward to your emails detailing the lives of the King County soldiers, both heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. Your research is incredible. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for your comment Nancy.
We will definitely work on finding the home town of your Great Grandfather, hopefully be back to you soon.
Hi Nancy, I have been trying to confirm more details in relation to your Great Grandfather. As always with records in Ireland it can be very difficult to be exact. While I don’t have a birth or baptism record at the moment, the evidence suggests that he was born in the Ferbane area of Offaly. If I do find anything defintive I will pass it on.
