Thomas Walsh, born in Edenderry in 1821, immigrated to the United States and resided in New York and Virginia. He married Mary Ryan, whose family included Civil War soldiers. Walsh served as a Union soldier in the US Army and passed away in 1905, with gravesite located in Alexandria City, Virginia.
