Danny Leavy and Kevin Guing provide information about Peter Quinlan, born in Tullamore and baptized in the early 19th century. He served in Co. G, 120th New York Infantry during the Union Army, and died in 1864, with his grave located in Andersonville Prison, Georgia.

The site is adding information about 37 soldiers from Tullamore who fought in the US Civil War, including five imprisoned at Andersonville Prison. This prison, notorious for brutal conditions, saw 13,000 deaths. The project, aided by Damian Shiels, will now include profiles of Offaly soldiers detained there.
