The recently discovered 1912 photo of Sean MacDiarmada with his sisters garnered significant attention online. The author shares how he obtained this and related historical materials, including letters and artifacts connected to the MacDermott family in New York, highlighting their involvement in Irish nationalism. An exhibition is planned for 2027.

Known for his eccentricity and reputed buried treasure, he died in 1867, leaving behind significant ore and gold.
